Role Overview

We seek a dependable and proficient AV Technician to manage the installation, operation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of audiovisual equipment supporting meetings, conferences, and various events held at the hotel. Your role ensures all devices are safe, operational, and deliver top-tier experiences to guests and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, operate, and sustain audio and video equipment such as projectors, displays, TVs, cameras, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems.
• Prepare AV setups for meetings, presentations, trainings, and special events.
• Conduct equipment testing, perform routine inspections, repair or replace faulty components, and resolve technical challenges.
• Guarantee that all AV hardware functions correctly and complies with safety standards prior to use.
• Provide courteous and prompt technical assistance to clients, guests, and event coordinators.
• Handle the secure transportation, storage, and care of AV gear, cables, and accessories.
• Keep an organized and accurate inventory of AV equipment and supplies.
• Restore and maintain equipment after events to ensure readiness for upcoming use.
• Respond swiftly to technical issues during events, applying effective solutions.
• Work closely with the Events and Entertainment teams to enable seamless event flow.
• Report any equipment damage, loss, or malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe technical workspace at all times.
• Adhere to all hotel policies, operational standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Participate in scheduled technical trainings to enhance professional skills.
• Assist with additional responsibilities and hotel functions as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience as an AV Technician, ideally within hotels, resorts, event venues, or hospitality settings.
• Solid understanding of audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, lighting, projectors, screens, microphones, and conferencing technology.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and fixing basic AV technical problems.
• Well-versed in cable types, connectors, signal pathways, and AV configuration.
• Strong organizational skills for managing equipment inventories.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to perform reliably under pressure and meet tight event timelines.
• Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, holiday periods, and event-specific schedules.
• English language skills preferred.
• Technical certifications or related qualifications are beneficial.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

• Strictly follow all hotel directives regarding health, safety, environmental practices, and quality standards.
• Operate and transport AV equipment safely to prevent accidents or damage.
• Immediately report any safety hazards, technical malfunctions, or damaged equipment.
• Adhere to hotel emergency protocols and safety guidelines.
• Maintain all equipment and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized state.
• Support the hotel's dedication to quality and guest satisfaction by following established policies and the Operational Standards Manual.
