Job Overview
The full-time Automotive Installer will be responsible for outfitting vehicles with necessary specialized equipment to transform them into emergency and law enforcement units. The role requires precision work with automotive electrical and mechanical systems, interpreting schematics, and physically demanding tasks in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Install a variety of components such as wire harnesses, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, component trays, and consoles in new vehicles.
- Disassemble and reassemble factory vehicles efficiently.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings, mostly independently.
- Maintain accurate records and work autonomously while supporting continuous improvement ideas.
- Occasionally perform work at field sites and adapt to extended or varying work hours, including overtime.
- Supply commonly used automotive repair tools, with time provided after hiring to acquire needed equipment if necessary.

Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $24.00 to $26.00.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience with automotive electrical and mechanical systems is essential.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong teamwork skills combined with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants who have completed or graduated from a four-year trade or vocational school with training in general shop and automotive repair will be given priority. Additionally, possessing a mechanic’s license or certifications such as ASE Automotive Technician or EVT Emergency Vehicle Technician will be advantageous.
