Role Overview
We are seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform both structural and cosmetic vehicle repairs. This role entails dismantling damaged vehicles, repairing or replacing body panels, interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories, then reassembling the vehicle. The technician will also use frame equipment and welding techniques to restore structural integrity. You will collaborate with your team to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently implement the WOW (Wow Operating Way) operational plan
- Repair vehicle body damage accurately and efficiently
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as required
- Replace or fix interior and exterior vehicle parts, electrical systems, and accessories
- Remove and install welded or sectioned components
- Assess and rectify structural vehicle damage using frame equipment
- Apply newly acquired skills and knowledge to maintain high quality and productivity standards contributing to KPIs
- Take initiative for outcomes while seeking continual learning and performance enhancement
Educational and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary education in an Auto Body Repair program mandatory
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as an Auto Body Technician
- Proficient in welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding
Preferred Qualifications
- Holding a Red Seal certification or 310B license is advantageous
- I-Car registration and progression towards Gold Class certification preferred
Additional Requirements
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Possession of a personal toolbox
- A valid driver’s license is required
