Job Overview

The Auto Body Detailer’s key role is to pre-wash vehicles before production and meticulously clean and detail assigned vehicles before final customer delivery. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness of the repair facility alongside team members to meet operational KPIs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Hand wash and brush vehicle exteriors or use washing equipment.
• Polish, dry, and clean windows, windshields, lights, mats, and exterior vehicle surfaces.
• Preserve automobile exteriors by waxing, buffing, and polishing.
• Vacuum interiors, shampoo carpets, add air fresheners, and remove stains when necessary.
• Maintain shop cleanliness by sweeping and emptying garbage daily.
• Keep parking areas organized and tidy.
• Perform power washing of shop floors as needed to reduce dirt.
• Organize vehicles daily, including managing keys, floor mats, and repair order signs.
• Implement the Wow Operating Way (WOW) plan consistently, ensuring quality and productivity standards and contributing positively to customer Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Required Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Physical capability to frequently bend, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift over 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
