Position Overview
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is seeking an Authority Officer to join its Employment Relations Authority (ERA) team in Auckland CBD. This permanent full-time role offers a rewarding career with a purpose, supporting employment relations and contributing to a resilient and productive economy in New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive administrative and case management support to ERA members, including diary maintenance and file handling.
- Foster strong professional relationships and maintain clear communication with ERA members, clients, and colleagues.
- Proofread documents and verify simple calculations to ensure accuracy.
- Demonstrate excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills to manage workloads effectively.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Proven excellence in customer service with a commitment to responsive service delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience managing databases and calendar systems.
- Ability to handle a significant volume of case files both electronically and in hardcopy format.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and capacity to follow complex instructions accurately.
- Strong written and oral communication capabilities.
- Candidates must hold legal authorization to live and work in New Zealand.

Salary starts from $70,625 plus KiwiSaver and wellness benefits.
