About the Role

Join the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) as an Executive Assistant supporting senior leadership within Immigration New Zealand. This fixed-term, 12-month secondment opportunity is based centrally in Wellington and offers a key role providing high-level, confidential support to a General Manager. Your expert assistance will be critical in helping senior leaders prioritize responsibilities, coordinate decisions, and achieve impactful outcomes for New Zealanders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficaciously managing intricate calendars, meetings, and appointments.
  • Organizing both domestic and international travel plans.
  • Producing polished briefings, correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Handling sensitive communications with utmost discretion.
  • Monitoring and following up on key action items and priorities.
  • Coordinating internal/external meetings, engagements, and events.
  • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships across MBIE and external parties.
  • Driving improvements in administrative systems and procedures.
  • Offering guidance and support to team administration members as needed.

Eligibility

Candidates must hold New Zealand citizenship or have a New Zealand Permanent Resident visa to be considered for this role.
