Position Overview

Our Cork city office is growing, and we are looking for an experienced client-focused Senior Manager to join our South Mall team. Reporting directly to the Senior Audit Partner, this role involves leading multiple audit engagements for clients in the Cork region, alongside opportunities to contribute to advisory and company-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing plans, allocating resources, and structuring audit projects effectively.
• Reviewing audit documentation and financial reports thoroughly.
• Assisting the audit partner with various business advisory tasks such as negotiations with Revenue and banking, restructuring, and litigation support.
• Supervising and mentoring trainees pursuing Chartered Accountancy qualifications.
• Meeting team budget targets and fulfilling agreed business objectives.
• Maintaining high technical and professional standards in all work.
• Understanding clients’ businesses and risks to approach their needs strategically.
• Proactively managing issues to prevent escalation and formulating appropriate solutions.
• Coaching, training, and fostering the growth of team members.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• ACA or ACCA accreditation is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in external audit.
• At least 1 to 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity within audit.
