Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and skilled Accounts Senior to join our Preston office. This pivotal role involves managing daily client accounting activities, ensuring quality and compliance in our services, and mentoring junior staff. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting duties for clients, guaranteeing accuracy and punctual delivery.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, addressing their questions and helping improve their work quality.
- Deliver accounting services in strict adherence to all relevant legal and statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely collection and review of all necessary client documents.
- Maintain robust client communications by promptly and professionally responding to inquiries.
- Accurately record billable hours to support comprehensive billing recovery.
- Prepare documentation related to accounts, tax, VAT, and PAYE for submissions to HMRC within prescribed deadlines.
- Efficiently manage workload to meet deadlines and ensure deliverables are ready for review.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant or actively pursuing certification.
- Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal aptitude.
- Reliable and team-oriented work approach.
- Excellent organizational skills with effective time management.
- Proficiency with cloud accounting software, particularly Xero and similar platforms.

Work Arrangement
This role is based onsite at the Preston office.
