Job description
Overview
The primary role involves accurately preparing and supplying ingredients needed for production by receiving, sorting, and documenting them according to batch requirements. This must be done while adhering strictly to stock management processes, food safety standards, quality benchmarks, and workplace safety rules to enable smooth and safe manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Collect pre-measured ingredients from the storeroom.
- Categorize products according to different batch requirements.
- Follow all standard operating procedures related to packaging, damage handling, and stock management.
- Report and communicate any shift-related issues promptly to supervisors.
- Accurately log each ingredient’s batch number on mixing sheets.
- Comply with food safety protocols to reduce product risk.
- Observe all workplace safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Possess at minimum an NQF Level 4 qualification, Grade 12, or an equivalent certificate.
- Have between one and two years of experience working within a manufacturing environment.
