Overview

This role focuses on supporting customers and maintaining the sales floor to ensure a pleasant and safe shopping experience. Responsibilities involve stocking merchandise, operating forklifts, and preparing customer orders with care to prevent damage.

Key Duties

• Restock shelves to maintain full inventory levels at 100%.
• Unload and arrange products carefully and as per directives.
• Merchandise new items and promotional products effectively.
• Keep aisles clean and organized, ensuring merchandise is accessible and attractively displayed.
• Align and organize items on upper shelves.
• Communicate with team members to store products in correct locations.
• Deliver customer service using the company's ACTion model: warmly welcoming customers, engaging them, and concluding with gratitude.
• Ask open-ended questions about customers’ projects to assess their expertise and needs.
• Safely move merchandise between temporary storage and upper shelves using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain safe and clear aisle access for customers.
• Adhere strictly to all safety policies and loss prevention procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Bending, stretching, turning, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
• Climbing ladders up to heights between 3.5 and 5 meters (12 to 16 feet) to reach or store merchandise.

Work Environment

• Flexible schedule including night shifts, evenings, and weekends.
• Warehouse setting with possible dust and noise exposure.
• Forklift gas emissions present.
• Frequent door openings can cause drafts and temperature fluctuations indoors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of retail or distribution experience is preferred.
• Experience operating retractable or forklift and order picker forklifts is advantageous but not mandatory.

Reporting

Reports directly to the Handling Supervisor.
