Associate Territory Manager - Joint Replacement

Role Overview

Join the Joint Replacement division at Stryker and contribute to supporting surgeons performing hip and knee replacement surgeries throughout Christchurch and the broader South Island region. This role offers the chance to establish a long-term career in medical device sales while working alongside advanced orthopaedic technologies such as Stryker's MAKO robotic-arm assisted surgical platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during hip and knee replacement operations.
• Deliver clinical and technical support within operating theatres.
• Develop expertise in MAKO robotic-assisted surgical technology.
• Foster professional relationships with surgeons, nursing staff, and theatre personnel.
• Collaborate with Territory Managers to implement effective territory strategies.
• Support account management and contribute to sales growth efforts.
• Prepare surgical cases, coordinate instruments, and manage implant logistics.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Joint Replacement products and technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Health Sciences, Biomedical Science, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Engineering, Exercise Science, Business, or similar fields.
• Possession of a valid New Zealand driver’s licence or ability to obtain one.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Christchurch and across the South Island.
• Capability to work effectively in operating theatre settings.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in healthcare, medical devices, clinical support, pharmaceuticals, sales, engineering, or any customer-facing position.
• Background in supporting healthcare professionals or clients in technical contexts.
• Experience managing equipment, inventory, logistics, or project coordination.
• Familiarity with orthopaedics, surgical procedures, rehabilitation, sports medicine, or implantable medical devices.
