Role Summary

The Associate Systems Administrator is an entry-level role situated within the IT Systems team in Dublin. The position acts as a crucial link between the IT Service Desk and Global Systems teams, primarily supporting employees based in the EU and UK. The role involves resolving technical escalations in partnership with the IT Service Desk and coordinating with US-based systems engineers to uphold global software, security policies, patching, and network infrastructure. This position requires operational support abilities, strong technical curiosity, and dedication to maintaining a secure and highly available IT environment. The role occasionally requires on-call availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot core enterprise software platforms daily.
  • Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining identity platforms and collaboration tools.
  • Adhere to change management procedures for updates and system changes.
  • Maintain precise documentation such as runbooks and knowledge base articles for the Service Desk.
  • Support administration of Mobile Device Management solutions like Jamf and Microsoft Intune.
  • Help manage user devices, including application deployments, VDI setup, and desktop configurations.
  • Implement security protocols such as patching and operating system updates.
  • Provide initial support for network issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall troubleshooting.
  • Assist with basic network diagnostics and performance monitoring in EU offices.
  • Help set up and maintain local network hardware with senior team oversight.
  • Manage user lifecycle processes within identity platforms like Okta ensuring access control compliance.
  • Participate in regional on-call rotations for incident response.
  • Review IT requests in line with company information security and governance policies.
  • Regularly engage in physical activities such as moving equipment up to 50lbs, rearranging furniture, and setting up devices in confined spaces within the office.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Basic experience with Identity and Access Management platforms such as Okta or OneLogin.
  • Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Atlassian/Jira.
  • Exposure to enterprise collaboration suites including Google Workspace, Microsoft O365, and Slack.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Device Management tools such as Microsoft Intune or Jamf.
  • Understanding of core enterprise networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to document technical procedures and follow established protocols.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with audiovisual system setup and troubleshooting in conference rooms.
  • Basic administration of cloud-based telephony systems, for example, Dialpad.
  • At least two years of systems administration experience and some background in IT support or service desk roles.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across multiple time zones.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary for this role ranges from €38,000 to €48,000 EUR annually. This package may include discretionary bonuses, incentives, and Restricted Stock Units as part of a comprehensive total rewards program. Individual pay is influenced by location, skills, experience, education, and training.
