IT Security Administrator - Patch, Endpoint, and Security Operations

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee patch and endpoint security across the organization by administering the Ivanti Patch Management System to ensure timely deployment and compliance. Operate Microsoft Intune for tasks such as device enrollment, policy settings, application rollouts, patching, upgrading, and maintaining endpoint compliance.

Lead threat detection and protection efforts by managing Microsoft Security Modules, including Microsoft Defender. Implement policies for threat protection, monitor security alerts, and coordinate incident response actions. Keep abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices. Work collaboratively with IT departments to enforce security policies and ensure organizational compliance.

Handle vulnerability management by maintaining scanning inventories, identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities in the environment, and collaborating with teams to remediate them.

Supervise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) activities: monitor DLP alerts, compile reports for stakeholders, assist with configuration and testing of DLP policies including pilot deployments, cooperate with IT and business units to classify sensitive data and secure it appropriately, maintain detailed documentation on DLP policies and incidents, and support user education on handling sensitive data.

Administer organizational firewalls such as Cisco or Fortinet, ensuring secure access rules, monitoring traffic, and maintaining configuration compliance with security standards.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for system setups, security protocols, and incident responses. Provide training and support to users on security compliance and policies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in patch management, device and endpoint security administration.
• Practical experience with Ivanti Patch Management, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, and data loss prevention tools.
• Experience managing enterprise-level firewalls such as Cisco or FortiGate.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance standards.
