Position Overview
This permanent, full-time role offers the chance to join Hall & Wilcox's highly regarded statutory insurance team based in Brisbane. Role Responsibilities
You will represent insured employers under Queensland and Commonwealth workers’ compensation schemes, compulsory third-party insurers defending claims in Queensland, institutions defending historical abuse claims, as well as other personal injury and general liability matters. Your duties will include managing a portfolio of claims efficiently, handling conferences, mediations, and trials in line with client objectives and KPIs.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring between four and eight years of post-admission experience, particularly in defendant insurance and workers’ compensation or personal injury claims management. You should be proactive, capable of working independently and collaboratively, possess strong technical and analytical skills, and demonstrate excellent communication abilities. Senior associates will also take on mentoring and supervisory responsibilities. Experience with WorkCover Queensland panel law firms is highly valued.
