Associate NOC Support Engineer

Role Overview

The Associate NOC Support Engineer will play a key role in assisting the engineering and operations teams with the continuous monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of ExpressVPN's extensive global network performance. This entry-level position is tailored for professionals eager to develop skills in networking, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity within a real-world context.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor network condition, performance levels, and uptime across the company's worldwide infrastructure.
• React to system alerts by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and helping resolve network interruptions or incidents.
• Work alongside senior engineers to create and refine standard operating procedures and incident response playbooks.
• Take part in scheduled on-call rotations and assist with incident resolution outside of regular hours when necessary.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Solid grasp of fundamental networking principles.
• Familiarity or interest in learning network monitoring platforms such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Grafana.
• Comfortable with Linux or Unix operating environments.
• Some exposure or knowledge of cloud services like AWS or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
