Role Summary and Responsibilities
As a Media Planning Associate, you will be part of a vibrant team focused on delivering top-tier campaigns by collaborating across branding and performance channels. Your core duties will include developing and nurturing relationships with clients, agency, and media partners, supporting the manager in crafting campaign strategies and ideas, and creating comprehensive media plans. You will be responsible for daily account management activities, reporting such as media flowchart updates and budget tracking, negotiating and evaluating media proposals, and ensuring adherence to best practices and finance processes.
Development Milestones
- Within 3 months: Become fully onboarded through training, master client structures and media planning tools, familiarize yourself with campaign processes including optimization and billing, and collaborate closely with specialist teams for end-to-end campaign management.
- Within 6 months: Confidently manage the client account independently meeting KPIs, establish yourself as a trusted advisor with strong justifications and timeline management, lead innovations by testing new channels and formats, take on client-facing meeting responsibilities, and assist with strategic research and presentation preparation.
- Within 12 months: Build strong client relationships judged by agency feedback, independently analyze channels providing insights and recommendations.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 1 year of media planning experience, ideally in a media agency with client-facing exposure.
- Up-to-date awareness of industry trends and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and administrative capabilities with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving ability, and effective time management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel including dashboard manipulation, formulas, and pivot tables.
- Analytical mindset combining creativity and data-driven insight to identify patterns and trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Curiosity and proactive engagement in business matters.
- Knowledgeable about digital tools and social/search media platforms.
