Job description
Job Overview
As an Associate Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of product hardware and software, primarily at customer sites. Your role includes scheduled inspections, cleaning, minor repairs, and ensuring the products operate correctly. You will resolve issues or escalate them as per protocol, handle service scheduling, complete necessary documentation, and engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and understanding of the product.
Responsibilities
- Learn and become proficient with Field Service Technician procedures and standards.
- Perform diagnostics and incident handling using specialized tools to analyze both hardware and software problems, under supervision or alongside experienced technicians.
- Conduct hardware repairs at the component level and carry out cleaning and adjustments of mechanical parts.
- Install and configure applicable software and replenish consumable supplies as needed.
- Carry out preventative maintenance by executing routine inspections per defined guidelines.
- Execute IMAC/R tasks including installation, movement, addition, change, and removal of hardware and software products.
- Provide customer instruction and training regarding the operation and use of installed hardware and software.
- Participate regularly in hardware and software training sessions delivered through on-the-job, classroom, or digital formats.
- Support the implementation of measures aimed at achieving assigned key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possess a relevant educational background or equivalent practical experience.
- Have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar Field Service capacity or a comparable blend of education and experience.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a driving record compliant with the company's fleet standards.
