Associate Director - Senior Project Manager

Overview

We are actively seeking an experienced Associate Director - Senior Project Manager to spearhead the execution of intricate infrastructure projects and programs based in Riyadh. This senior leadership position involves providing strategic direction and serving as the trusted advisor to clients while managing diverse teams, consultants, and contractors throughout all stages of the project lifecycle within a PMCM framework.

Primary Duties

• Provide executive management and leadership for the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects and programs.
• Act as the principal point of contact for clients, governmental bodies, senior stakeholders, and key project collaborators.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure their efforts align with overarching program goals.
• Develop governance frameworks for projects to facilitate effective decision-making processes.
• Ensure project outcomes meet required standards concerning schedule, cost, quality, risk management, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Supervise the preparation and approval of project documentation including plans, timelines, budgets, procurement approaches, and delivery methods.
• Oversee the activities of consultants, contractors, and project control units to fulfill program targets.
• Lead executive reporting functions and provide strategic insights to client leadership.
• Handle contractual and commercial aspects such as change control, avoidance of claims, and resolving disputes.
• Guarantee adherence to client guidelines, contract terms, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies while seeking opportunities to enhance value.
• Support business development efforts, contributing towards winning future projects.
• Mentor and cultivate project management personnel to promote a culture of high performance and responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field in infrastructure engineering.
• At least 18 years of comprehensive experience managing infrastructure project delivery.
• Demonstrable expertise working within PMCM or client-side project management environments.
• Extensive experience delivering complex infrastructure projects and programs within the Middle East region, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of sectors such as roads, utilities, public spaces, transportation systems, railways, airports, or integrated infrastructure projects.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams involving design, construction, commercial operations, and project controls.
• Advanced stakeholder management capabilities with clients, government authorities, consultants, and contractors.
• History of managing projects or programs valued at SAR 1 billion or more.
• In-depth understanding of project governance, contract administration, risk and cost management, and project control methodologies.
• Mandatory possession of a transferable Iqama.
• Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is required.
