Role Overview

The Associate Director of Advisory Marketing will spearhead marketing initiatives for the Advisory service line, collaborating closely with senior leadership to align business objectives with targeted go-to-market strategies. This role shapes the market positioning of Advisory services through campaigns, thought leadership, client engagement, and pursuit activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main marketing liaison for Advisory leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with Advisory partners and senior stakeholders through ongoing engagement to understand priorities, pipeline, sector focus, and growth potential.
  • Convert Advisory business strategies into actionable marketing briefs, campaign plans, and activation activities.
  • Lead the planning and execution of go-to-market initiatives for Advisory, ensuring campaign alignment with sector priorities, pursuits, and revenue objectives.
  • Manage implementation of Advisory marketing programs within agreed plans, including sector-specific initiatives where pipeline or market opportunity is active.
  • Create Advisory-focused content such as thought leadership articles, credentials, case studies, and delivery proof points that support campaign goals.
  • Support adaptation of global EPIC campaigns (e.g., AI, M&A, Digital Modernisation, Cybersecurity/Risk) with local market insights and examples.
  • Deliver rapid response marketing activities triggered by deals, market shifts, regulatory changes, or competitive pursuits.
  • Develop sales enablement materials linked to campaigns, including presentation decks, playbooks, and case studies.
  • Collaborate with pursuit teams to provide customized marketing support for key opportunities.
  • Advise Advisory leaders on market positioning, competitive differentiation, sector-specific opportunities, and campaign investment priorities.
  • Identify and drive initiatives to raise Advisory’s market profile through thought leadership, external visibility, flagship events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to advance priority pursuits, major accounts, and strategic growth plans.
  • Coordinate with Market Activation Lead to ensure consistent execution across events, digital content, social media, paid media, and direct client outreach.
  • Monitor and report campaign progress and outcomes within the existing monthly reporting structure.

Experience & Qualifications

  • University degree required; postgraduate qualification in marketing or business is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in B2B marketing, with direct involvement in marketing advisory or management consulting services.
  • Background in professional services, financial services, consulting, or similarly regulated complex industries.
  • Extensive experience engaging with senior partners and directors, with responsibility for partner-centric campaigns, business development, and pipeline management.
  • Strong commercial insight, able to align marketing efforts with pipeline growth, strategic accounts, and revenue objectives.
  • Proven capability to translate business goals into effective marketing plans that drive growth.
  • Successful track record leading integrated go-to-market campaigns combining thought leadership, pursuits, and client engagement.
  • Excellent writing, briefing, and messaging skills to convert complex service priorities into clear market communications.
  • Familiarity with marketing technologies such as CRM and automation platforms.
  • Ability to work across multiple markets and tailor marketing activity to local business needs.
