Associate Director - Financial Services Tax

Position Overview

We are inviting an experienced Financial Services Tax Associate Director to join our expanding Financial Services Tax team. In this role, you will handle complex tax technical issues by developing innovative solutions and manage a team through demanding assignments daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a team delivering financial services tax support to a broad client base encompassing sectors such as asset management, banking, securitisation, aviation finance, leasing, insurance, and fintech.
• Provide expert guidance on client transactions, handle compliance requirements, and evaluate tax strategies.
• Manage multiple advisory and compliance projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines, task prioritization, and accurate billing procedures.
• Contribute actively to the growth of the financial services tax team by nurturing existing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Skills and Attributes

• Must hold ATT, ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualification.
• Possess at least seven years post-qualification experience within financial services tax, gained in either industry or professional services.
• Demonstrate strong technical expertise with the ability to uncover client opportunities and expand financial services tax offerings.
• Proven self-motivation and initiative-taking capabilities.
• Strong relationship-building skills for client and team engagement.
• Experience in business development and proven ability to grow client portfolios.
• Excellent interpersonal and people management skills to support and develop junior colleagues.
• High ambition and a clear intent to advance a career in practice.
