Role Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join the growing Financial Services Tax team at Grant Thornton. This role offers a chance to work with a varied range of domestic and international financial services clients, delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee tax compliance and advisory service delivery for financial services clients, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Provide expert technical guidance on Irish and cross-border tax issues, including reviewing returns and computations whilst adhering to quality and risk standards.
- Establish and nurture strong client relationships by attending meetings, handling inquiries, and maintaining excellent service standards.
- Assist senior team members in client engagement execution, identify further service opportunities, and support business development efforts.
- Mentor junior colleagues by sharing knowledge, fostering teamwork, and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualifications including ACA, ACCA and/or CTA with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience specifically within financial services tax.
- Robust understanding of Irish taxation coupled with an interest or exposure to international tax matters; experience with Asset Management or Insurance sectors is advantageous.
- Strong communication and relationship management abilities to build trust and collaborate effectively.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills to balance competing deadlines and deliver tasks on time.
- A proactive, commercially aware mindset with a dedication to ongoing learning and professional growth within practice.
