Role Overview

The Assistant Waiter will contribute to outstanding guest experiences by ensuring courteous service, precise order management, and seamless teamwork within the restaurant. This role involves assisting with table preparations, serving food and drinks, possessing strong menu knowledge, and promoting sales while upholding Son Of A Fish’s rigorous standards in presentation, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests and provide professional, courteous service.
• Present the menu, explain dishes, and advise on meal and beverage pairings.
• Accurately take orders and ensure prompt delivery of food and drinks.
• Anticipate and address guest needs to enhance satisfaction.
• Prepare, maintain, and clear tables adhering to luxury dining standards.
• Support daily opening and closing tasks of the restaurant.
• Coordinate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service.
• Manage guest complaints with professionalism and escalate to management as required.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverages, especially wines.
• Promote specials, premium dishes, and wine pairings to optimize sales.
• Stay informed about restaurant promotions, events, and service guidelines.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining areas in compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Strictly adhere to hygiene practices and service protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2 to 4 years of experience in upscale restaurants, fine-dining establishments, or luxury hotels.
• Familiarity with fine-dining etiquette, service excellence, and wine/beverage pairings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
