Role Overview
As an Assistant Store Manager at Coach, you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to enhance sales outcomes, operational standards, and team development efforts. Leading by example on the sales floor, you will ensure top-tier customer service and maintain Coach’s high standards across all store activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in forecasting sales and planning category initiatives to meet sales objectives; regularly monitor and adjust strategies based on performance indicators.
- Create an energetic, inclusive environment that aligns with Coach’s service standards, promptly resolving customer concerns and representing the brand positively both onsite and in the community.
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop team members, fostering collaboration and building a strong talent pipeline aligned with the brand vision.
- Assist with omni-channel retail strategies, including virtual shopping, clienteling, and leveraging customer data; utilize social media trends to enhance customer engagement.
- Manage store operations including policy compliance, staff scheduling, payroll processing, HR procedures, loss prevention, visual merchandising, safety, and vendor relations.
- Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends, inform store strategy, and communicate insights to district and corporate teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- At least one year of leadership experience in retail or service sectors; prior experience or education in luxury or fashion is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong customer orientation with the ability to succeed in a dynamic, high-paced setting.
- Proven capacity to inspire and motivate teams to exceed performance goals.
- Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, and conflict management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail management systems; familiarity with omni-channel services and clienteling methods is important.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays to meet business demands.
- Strong English language proficiency (relevant for European Union contexts).
