Overview
Join us as a full-time Assistant Store Manager passionate about delivering an outstanding footwear shopping experience for all families. You will lead the store in the Store Manager's absence, inspire your team to meet sales and growth objectives, and foster a store environment where customers feel compelled to make purchases and remain loyal to our brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Motivate and coach associates with integrity to strengthen customer relationships and operational excellence.
- Proactively identify and recruit exceptional talent, collaborating with the Store Manager during interviewing and hiring processes to build a high-performing team focused on customer experience and sales.
- Oversee all retail operations including pricing, shipping, inventory management, and staff scheduling to ensure smooth daily functions.
- Take ownership of sales goals, leveraging insights and feedback to continuously improve store performance.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive team culture where diversity is celebrated and associates feel supported and respected, boosting morale and retention.
- Serve as the Store Manager’s key support, leading the store during their absence while upholding company policies and compliance through ongoing training and evaluation.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year retail sales experience.
- Experience interviewing, hiring, and training team members.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively motivate and manage associates.
- Capability to coach staff to enhance customer experience and operational execution.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills partnering with Store Manager.
- Solid understanding of retail operations and business analytics.
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely using proper equipment.
- Capacity to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive lifting throughout the workday.
- Able to remain active on the sales floor for prolonged periods.
