Role Overview
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be pivotal in delivering an exceptional customer experience, upholding brand standards, and driving sales performance at the Athlone location. You will lead by example, motivate your team, and collaborate closely with the Store Manager and visual merchandising team to maintain store excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate store staff to boost sales, maximize profits, reduce losses, and uphold exemplary customer service standards.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and performance improvement by collaborating with team members and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all corporate visual merchandising guidelines are applied impeccably both on the sales floor and in the back room.
- Maintain clear communication with visual merchandising teams to align store presentation with brand directives.
- Collaborate with store management to capitalize on business opportunities and uphold company standards.
- Develop staff focus on cultivating quality relationships with customers to encourage repeat business with outstanding service.
- Conduct regular store walkthroughs for evaluating product performance, pricing strategy, staff service, and inventory levels.
- Report sales drivers, issues, and priorities to the Store Manager and assist in developing strategies to enhance store performance.
- Analyze store-level data, create and implement action plans for performance improvement.
- Assist in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and manpower planning to build a diverse and skilled team.
- Support succession planning and talent development within key store roles.
- Participate actively in management and staff meetings to drive communication and align on goals.
- Communicate clearly to staff the sales targets, performance expectations, and provide feedback to enhance results.
- Ensure an outstanding customer journey that achieves excellent results on mystery shopping evaluations.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in supervisory or specialist positions within premium or luxury retail brands.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive workplace environment.
- Strong communication capabilities to create a sense of belonging and team unity.
- Collaborative mindset with recognition and appreciation of team member contributions.
- Confidence in delivering constructive feedback to promote positive behavioral changes.
- Adaptable and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Energetic presence on the shop floor to inspire trust and set a positive example.
- Proactive problem-solver with a “can do” attitude to make informed decisions and deliver in-store solutions.
