Job description
Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and meeting sales targets. They act as the acting manager in the Store Manager's absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily operational management and staff supervision.
- Participate in product display, restocking shelves, and unpacking daily shipments.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
- Train, coach, and develop store employees.
- Manage store cash handling, including opening and closing duties when necessary.
- Delegate tasks to team members while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with store policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Responsible for employee recruitment and performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- At least two years of retail experience.
- Minimum two years in supervisory or managerial roles.
- Availability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
