Role Overview
As Assistant Store Manager, you will partner with the Store Manager to effectively run store operations, drive sales, and motivate your team. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer experience while managing store performance and maintaining appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the store team to consistently exceed customer expectations.
- Act as deputy to the Store Manager, assisting with day-to-day store operations.
- Contribute to managing sales targets and fostering team motivation.
- Provide training and support to the staff to help them achieve success and embody the "Tapi difference".
- Help onboard new employees alongside the Store Manager.
- Meet and surpass your individual sales goals.
- Address and resolve customer complaints professionally, even in challenging situations.
- Ensure the store’s presentation meets company standards and assist with promotional updates.
- Continuously seek improvements to benefit customers, colleagues, and the business as a whole.
- Accurately use company technology to record customer orders.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies prescribed by Tapi.
About You
- Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to understand and engage customers.
- Confident, self-driven, enthusiastic, and capable of inspiring the team by example.
- Equally motivated by meeting sales targets and ensuring outstanding customer service.
- Proficient in consultative sales techniques that create trust and rapport with customers.
- Excellent judgement with the ability to manage difficult conversations tactfully.
- Embody the brand values and represent the “Tapi difference” in every interaction.
- Comfortable using store technology; willing to learn if unfamiliar.
- Flexible with work scheduling to maximize customer coverage and store performance.
