Job description
Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets. This role acts as the store manager in their absence.
Daily Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager with daily operations and employee management.
- Participate in product presentation, shelf stocking, and packing/unpacking of daily shipments.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle escalated issues efficiently.
- Train, coach, and develop staff members.
- Manage cash handling along with opening and closing the store as required.
- Delegate tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards.
- Responsible for recruitment and performance assessments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum two years of retail experience.
- At least two years in supervisory or managerial roles.
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
