Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing the daily store operations, ensuring high customer satisfaction levels, and achieving sales targets. This role acts as the store manager in their absence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with daily operational duties and staff management.
- Participate in product presentation, stocking shelves, and handling daily shipments including packing and unpacking.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
- Train, coach, and develop store employees.
- Manage cash handling and open or close the store as required.
- Delegate tasks to team members while maintaining store cleanliness and safety.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Responsible for hiring and performance assessment.
Qualifications
- At least two years of retail experience.
- Minimum of two years in a supervisory or management role.
- Availability during days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
