Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager)

We are currently seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to join our team in Red Deer, Alberta, who is passionate about leadership and ready to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Leader by overseeing customer service, training, and coaching all store staff to maintain excellent service standards.
• Help attract and retain top talent by focusing on recruitment, leadership development, employee empowerment, and productivity enhancement.
• Assist in executing merchandising and marketing initiatives effectively within the store.
• Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and actively promote the company’s loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment adhering to all health and sanitation regulations to ensure product availability and overall store presentation.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous supervisory or retail management experience preferred, with a minimum of one year for candidates without a formal diploma.
• High School diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory for qualified applicants with retail leadership background.
• Valid driver's license relevant to the state of residence and maintaining automotive liability insurance during employment.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Solid computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Physical capability to multitask and undertake activities involving bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
