Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the Role

Join an esteemed team at Sheen Falls Lodge, a 2 Michelin Keys hotel and part of the Relais & Châteaux group, renowned for world-class hospitality. We seek a diligent Assistant Restaurant Manager to support our commitment to exceptional 5-star service in a variety of food and beverage settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee service operations in the Falls Restaurant covering breakfast, lunch, dinner, private event dinners, room service, afternoon tea, and lounge food service.
• Ensure all services run smoothly, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment compliant with legal and hotel standards.
• Manage staff rosters and supervise teams during shifts, including coordinating breaks and adhering to HACCP food safety protocols and perishables labeling.
• Handle stock management for breakfast, lunch, lounge, and dinner items effectively.
• Provide ongoing training, communication, and coaching to improve team performance and guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with the Restaurant Manager on role directives and report on team and individual outcomes.
• Anticipate booking and occupancy changes to ensure adequate staffing levels, coordinating adjustments with the Restaurant Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service at a 5-star standard.
• Proven experience in managing restaurant operations within a 5-star hotel environment.
• Excellent detail orientation and strong communication skills for effective interactions across all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service and foster staff training, retention, and development.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Authorization to work legally in Ireland.

Preferred Experience

• Background in luxury hospitality, especially within Relais & Châteaux establishments.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Willingness to work flexibly on a roster basis including weekends.
