Role Overview
Join the commercial reactive and minor works team as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, supporting operations to guarantee the effective execution of the Framework contract. Maintain strong relationships, optimize commercial outcomes, and manage related risks.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake duties under supervision including tender preparation through measuring, packaging, and analysis.
- Prepare valuation variations and final accounts, including subcontractor valuations.
- Conduct site measurements and attend site and subcontractor meetings.
- Engage with site management and maintain site documentation and records.
- Measure on-site progress and prepare client payment applications.
- Evaluate risks and opportunities linked to the commercial side of projects.
- Support Quantity Surveyors and Senior QS with Commercial Value Reporting (CVR) tasks; grow independence with experience.
- Assist in applying the commercial strategy across the portfolio.
- Maintain professionalism at all times.
- Contribute to traditional contract work and assist in negotiations with subcontractors.
- Support interpretation of contract law and involvement with Design & Build (D&B) and Construction Design and Management (CDP) contracts.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools effectively.
- Be proficient with the Standard Method of Measurement.
- Use schedules of rates for preparing quotations and payment applications.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Show ownership mindset and commercial awareness.
- Exhibit effective time management, organization, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications and Training
- Completion or current undertaking of a Quantity Surveying degree.
- Understanding of Commercial Value Reporting (CVR).
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
