About the Role
A prominent organization engaged in significant projects and expanding its business portfolio seeks an Assistant Procurement Manager to join the Head Office based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and facilitate the procurement lifecycle including sourcing suppliers, evaluating them, negotiating terms, purchasing, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Build and sustain solid relationships with suppliers and vendors to support procurement activities.
- Assess suppliers with regard to quality, cost-effectiveness, delivery timelines, and dependability.
- Analyze quotations, lead negotiations of commercial terms, and contribute to initiatives aimed at cost reduction.
- Collaborate closely with project, technical, finance, and other departments to guarantee procurement needs are met promptly.
- Track purchase orders, delivery status, and evaluate supplier performance regularly.
- Maintain adherence to company procurement policies and procedural standards.
- Assist the Procurement Manager in formulating procurement strategies and enhancing purchasing workflows.
- Generate procurement reports, perform analyses, and assess supplier performance metrics.
- Detect possible supply chain risks and advise suitable corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of four years’ experience in procurement or purchasing activities, ideally in sectors such as construction, contracting, infrastructure, or related domains.
- Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement methodologies, supplier sourcing, negotiation techniques, and vendor administration.
- Familiarity with commercial terms, quotation assessment, issuance of purchase orders, and vendor evaluation processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
