Assistant Manager - Willaston Hotel

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager to join the Willaston Hotel team located on Main North Road in Adelaide's northern suburbs. This popular community venue includes a busy Family Bistro with an indoor playground, a welcoming Sports Bar, and a well-frequented outdoor beer garden, serving as a favorite spot for local families and social gatherings.

Key Responsibilities

• Build close relationships with regular patrons to foster a sense of community and belonging.
• Assist the Publican in ensuring smooth, safe, and enjoyable daily operations with a vibrant atmosphere.
• Gain experience in publican duties while leading and motivating a skilled hospitality team.
• Proactively resolve issues before they escalate, maintaining seamless operations.
• Consistently deliver high energy, quality service, and positive interactions throughout each shift.

Physical Requirements

This role is hands-on and includes manual tasks such as moving stock, handling kegs, and managing deliveries. Candidates must be capable of performing physical duties safely and efficiently.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in bars, bistros, or gaming environments, ideally including supervisory responsibilities.
• A background of learning from experienced managers, preparing to take on more leadership.
• Confidence, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal skills to represent the pub in the manager's absence.
• Mandatory possession of current RSA, RSG 1 & 2, and RP Badge certifications as per state requirements.
