About The Role
Join Hotel Victor as an Assistant Manager and help maintain the vibrant atmosphere and strong local connection at this iconic venue. Situated in Victor Harbor with scenic views of Encounter Bay, this fully renovated location offers a modern bar, restaurant, outdoor dining, event spaces, and over 30 guest rooms—making it a favorite with both residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop close relationships with regular patrons, becoming an integral part of the community.
- Assist the Publican in ensuring the smooth, safe, and enjoyable operation of the pub.
- Gain experience in Publican duties while leading a dedicated hospitality team.
- Quickly resolve issues to prevent operational complications.
- Consistently provide energetic, friendly, and excellent service during each shift.
Job Requirements
- This role includes physical activities such as manual handling and lifting of stock, kegs, and deliveries. Applicants must be capable of safely performing these tasks.
- Previous experience in bar, bistro, or gaming room settings with some supervisory background.
- Learned leadership skills from experienced managers and readiness to take on increased responsibility.
- Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, and the ability to represent the venue when management is absent.
- Possession of a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate and Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG/RCG) accreditation according to regional standards.
