About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join Victoria Hotel, a busy and beloved community venue in Southern Adelaide. The position offers a base salary of $80,000 per year, plus superannuation, a bonus scheme, and group-wide discounts. The venue features a family-friendly steakhouse, private gaming lounge, versatile event spaces, and an onsite bottle shop, well-known for its excellent food, wide drink variety, and welcoming service, operating daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with locals so that they feel part of the venue's community.
- Assist the Publican in maintaining smooth, safe, and vibrant operations.
- Gain management experience by leading a team of hospitality professionals.
- Manage issues proactively to prevent operational disruptions.
- Consistently deliver energetic, friendly, and high-quality customer service during shifts.
Job Requirements
- The assistant manager role requires physical activity, including manual handling and lifting of stock, kegs, and deliveries, performed safely and effectively.
- Experience working in hospitality environments such as bars, bistros, or gaming areas, preferably with some supervisory responsibility.
- Have learned from skilled managers and be ready to take on leadership duties.
- Possess confidence, pride, and interpersonal skills suitable for representing the venue in the Publican's absence.
- Hold current RSA, RSG, and Responsible Person badges compliant with state regulations.
