Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join The Ettamogah team, located in Kellyville, New South Wales. This position offers a base salary of $80,000 plus superannuation, a bonus scheme, and group-wide discounts. The role focuses on maintaining a lively and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring smooth daily operations, and supporting the Publican in managing the venue.
Key Duties
- Build strong relationships with regular patrons, making them feel part of the pub family.
- Assist the Publican in overseeing venue operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and a positive environment.
- Lead and inspire a skilled hospitality team through hands-on management and mentoring.
- Anticipate and resolve operational challenges promptly to maintain service quality.
- Consistently provide energetic, attentive, and friendly customer service during shifts.
Physical and Legal Requirements
- This role includes physical tasks such as lifting and moving stock, kegs, and deliveries, so candidates must be capable of safely performing manual handling duties.
- Possession of a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate and Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG/RCG) as per state regulations is mandatory.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience working in bars, bistros, or gaming environments, with some supervisory or leadership exposure.
- A track record of learning from experienced managers, demonstrating readiness to take on greater responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, and pride in representing the venue, particularly when the Publican is unavailable.
