About the Role
The Pymble Hotel, a popular local venue located on the Pacific Highway in New South Wales, is seeking an Assistant Manager to contribute to its dynamic hospitality environment. The hotel features a family-friendly bistro with locally sourced food, a lively Sports Bar that broadcasts live games, and comfortable guest lodging. This role offers a fast-paced and welcoming work atmosphere ideal for professionals passionate about excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with local patrons, becoming a familiar and trusted presence within the community.
- Assist the Publican in overseeing smooth, safe, and enjoyable operations of the pub.
- Gain experience and skills essential to becoming a Publican while managing a dedicated hospitality team.
- Proactively address and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Maintain high energy, excellent service standards, and positive interactions during each shift.
Inherent Requirements
- This hands-on position includes physical tasks such as lifting and handling stock, kegs, and deliveries. Candidates must be capable of performing these safely and effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in bar, bistro, or gaming settings, preferably with some supervisory background.
- Learned valuable managerial skills and now poised to take on greater responsibility.
- Confident, personable, and able to represent the venue positively when the manager is absent.
- Holds current RSA, RCG, and ARCG certifications as required by state legislation.
