Role Overview

As an Assistant Manager, you will support the daily operations of a single Panda Express store. This encompasses recruiting, supervising, and guiding team members to meet financial objectives and deliver outstanding guest service. Your leadership will be crucial to the store’s success. We provide extensive training including a minimum of three weeks of store leadership development to equip you for this responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the overall operation and management of the store.
  • Lead hiring efforts and oversee staff management and direction.
  • Drive store financial performance and operational goals.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experiences are consistently delivered.
  • Participate in paid leadership training and ongoing mentorship from the Panda community.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Possession of a high school diploma is mandatory.
  • Flexibility to relocate within 50 miles of current residence if necessary.
  • Willingness to work varied hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demands.
  • Certification in Food Safety (Serve Safe).

Physical and Environmental Requirements (ADA Compliance)

Employees must be capable of standing for extended periods, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and working within hot, noisy kitchen environments. Tasks require use of kitchen tools like Chinese cook knives, quick and accurate preparation of foods, and effective verbal communication. The role demands adaptability to fast-paced operations, managing conflicting priorities, and resolving difficult situations.
