About the Role
Join our team as an Assistant Manager in Aiken, SC, where you will play a vital role supporting the Store Manager with daily operations at our Stationstore location (2948 Whiskey Rd). This role offers an opportunity to develop your management career within a fast-paced, engaging, and fun work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support store operations by assisting with staff management including hiring, supervising, and motivating team members.
- Oversee daily tasks such as merchandising, bookkeeping, and ensuring excellent customer service standards.
- Maintain high food program standards, lead by example, and promote a positive team environment.
- Ensure predictable and consistent onsite attendance to support store needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience leading and managing teams, preferably with supervisor or management background in retail.
- Competence in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring personnel.
- Strong delegation, follow-up, and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills for planning and motivating.
- Knowledge of cash-handling procedures and basic bookkeeping.
- Problem-solving aptitude and capacity to advocate for customers and employees.
- Understanding of safety and security protocols in retail settings.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as standing or walking up to 8 hours, lifting weights up to 60 pounds occasionally, and performing manual tasks requiring hand-eye coordination.
Preferred Experience and Education
- Prior retail and food handling experience is advantageous.
- High school diploma or college degree preferred.
