Assistant Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team at Store 2746437, located at 1579 Cliff Road, Eagan, Minnesota 55122. This role involves working onsite during evening shifts on weekdays and weekends, providing support to the Store Manager in the daily operations of the Stationstore.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with overall store operations including staff supervision and daily store tasks.
• Participate in the hiring process including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
• Lead and motivate staff members to achieve daily objectives and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Manage bookkeeping and cash handling activities with accuracy.
• Oversee merchandising and the execution of the food program to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure safety and security protocols are upheld within the store.
• Maintain regular and reliable onsite attendance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in retail management or supervision is advantageous.
• Skills in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring employees.
• Experience handling food is a plus.
• Possession of a High School Diploma or College Degree is preferred.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours and lift/carry weights up to 60 pounds under specified conditions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes during a shift.
• Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
• Push/pull arm force up to 20 pounds.
• Bending at the waist with some twisting for up to one hour per shift.
• Manual dexterity involving grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects, which may also include climbing a ladder.
