About the Role
Grand Hyatt Dubai is looking to recruit an experienced Procurement professional to join its Area Procurement Department supporting all Hyatt hotels across Dubai. This role involves spearheading comprehensive purchasing operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality sourcing aligned with corporate objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all procurement activities from start to finish, focusing on cost efficiency and timely delivery while maintaining high quality standards.
- Manage vendor relations, lead negotiations, conduct tender processes, and establish contracts with favorable commercial terms.
- Analyze market trends and spending patterns, perform price benchmarking, review purchasing methodologies, and generate analytical reports to aid strategic decisions.
- Ensure procurement complies with legal mandates, internal policies, ethical guidelines, and audit requirements.
- Drive the implementation of sustainable procurement policies by assessing supplier environmental impact and advocating for green sourcing practices across the hotel network.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, expense analysis, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and optimizing procurement costs.
- Strong contract management capabilities including reviewing contracts, understanding commercial clauses, risk control, compliance, and supplier performance assessment.
- Skilled in creating and delivering clear, data-driven presentations and procurement reports.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with experience using PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, dashboards, and interpreting data for reporting.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to improve research, communication, analysis, and productivity.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
- Experience with BirchStreet Procurement System will be advantageous.
