Role Overview

The Assistant Manager is a key leadership role responsible for setting store culture, driving profitable sales, and supporting the overall store strategy. You will collaborate with senior store leaders to coach and develop team members including Leads, Experts, and Brand Associates, fostering a high-performance environment focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support store sales strategies with a strong customer focus to achieve business objectives.
• Recruit, hire, and nurture productive teams of Brand Associates and Experts.
• Take ownership of assigned operational areas within the store.
• Optimize efficiency and productivity through targeted action plans.
• Fulfill Service Leader duties to maintain high service standards.
• Ensure the consistent application of operational procedures.
• Represent Old Navy brand effectively while understanding competitor and retail industry dynamics.
• Encourage involvement with the local community.
• Utilize omni-channel capabilities to create seamless shopping experiences.
• Maintain all compliance and safety standards rigorously.

Candidate Profile

• Retail professional with 1 to 3 years management experience in a store setting.
• Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent communicator able to engage customers and motivate teams to achieve targets.
• Passionate about retail and thrives working in an energetic, fast-moving environment.
• Results-driven with a performance metrics mindset to meet business goals.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to develop talent and foster team growth.
• Flexible availability for varying shifts including holidays, evenings, overnight, and weekends.
• Comfortable with retail technology and physical tasks including maneuvering sales floor and stockroom operations and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Willingness to travel when necessary.
