Role Overview
Join Hilton as an Assistant Manager in Learning and Development, where your contribution directly enhances the hospitality experience by empowering hotel team members through targeted training initiatives. You'll craft and implement comprehensive learning programs aimed at increasing team member skills and improving overall performance, aligning training with job roles and career progression paths.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, plan, and roll out hospitality training courses in line with corporate objectives and current industry standards. Topics cover workplace respect, diversity, orientation for new hires, leadership development, and service excellence.
- Engage regularly with department heads, trainers, and team members to analyze performance patterns, devise improvement strategies, and celebrate successes.
- Continuously evaluate existing training efforts, identify areas for refinement, and suggest improvements to meet departmental demands effectively.
- Maintain accurate training documentation by tracking, auditing, and updating individual team member records using company-approved management systems.
- Oversee specialized departmental training programs including compliance training such as alcohol awareness, food safety, skill checklists, and educational support offerings.
- Lead and nurture the training team by monitoring progress, providing coaching, and fostering a motivating and collaborative workplace atmosphere.
Candidate Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of direct experience in learning and development or human resources, demonstrating proficiency in designing, delivering, and assessing training programs.
- Educational background preferably includes a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong expertise in instructional design, principles of adult education, and contemporary training techniques such as e-learning and blended learning formats.
- Ability to measure training impact and align educational solutions with company objectives.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital training platforms, and proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences and motivating teams.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and awareness of emerging trends in training and learning.
- Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally to identify organizational needs and foster performance improvements.
- Effective leadership and project management skills for overseeing multiple training projects and personnel.
