About the Team
The Operations team is accountable for managing cost and speed objectives across the delivery chain. As owners of the first and last mile assets, the team focuses on creating month-on-month operating plans, driving cost optimization, and building flexibility into the system to enable faster deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and demonstrate capacity capabilities for last mile hubs based on infrastructure and resource availability.
- Create resource plans according to capacity requirements for last mile hubs.
- Implement productivity improvement methods to enhance both inhouse and field operations.
- Lead initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving the speed of last mile delivery.
- Develop infrastructure and optimize the delivery network for sustained capacity and throughput performance.
- Design processes to ensure efficient use of systems and resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to roll out initiatives and streamline last mile delivery processes.
Required Skills and Experience
- 4 to 5 years of relevant supply chain experience, preferably in logistics, inventory, and/or distribution planning.
- MBA qualification is preferred.
- Strong decision-making abilities along with negotiating and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently with accountability, initiative, integrity, and maturity.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and R for daily data analysis; knowledge of Power BI and Python is advantageous.
- Customer-centric problem-solving approach and capacity to quantify risks affecting customer metrics.
- Demonstrated bias for action with a proactive, can-do attitude.
