Assistant Manager - IT Applications (UAE National)

About the Role

This position is an exciting opportunity for UAE National IT professionals to join a dynamic and high-performing IT team managing a comprehensive portfolio of enterprise applications. The role encompasses application support, development, project execution, vendor relations, and governance, providing wide exposure to diverse enterprise systems and influential business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and improvements for a portfolio exceeding 30 business applications and tech solutions.
• Execute system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and manage the full application lifecycle effectively.
• Engage in application development tasks including coding, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Manage coordination with external vendors, implementation partners, and service providers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Contribute to technology projects, implementations, and continuous business process improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, enforce governance controls, and ensure audit preparedness alongside compliance adherence.
• Deliver user assistance, facilitate knowledge transfer, and conduct training sessions across business applications.

Candidate Profile

• Applicants must be UAE Nationals.
• Possess a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Have a minimum of four years’ experience supporting enterprise or business applications.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of software development, databases, and operating environments including Windows and Linux.
• Experience with ERP, HRMS, enterprise systems, or analogous business platforms is required.
• Holding technical certifications such as ITIL, cloud computing, DevOps, or similar credentials is a plus.
