About the Role

Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the daily operations of a single restaurant location. Your duties include hiring, directing, and managing team members to meet financial objectives while ensuring high-quality guest experiences. Success in your store’s performance is your responsibility. To prepare you for this role, Panda Express provides a leadership training program lasting three weeks or more.

Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Willingness to relocate to a store location within 50 miles of home
- Availability to work flexible schedules often including opening/closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- Must be Serve Safe certified to ensure food safety compliance
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Employees often work in hot and confined kitchen areas with exposure to steam and food vapors. Roles require standing for prolonged periods (up to four hours), handling kitchen tools safely including Chinese cook knives, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Communication skills and adaptability to a fast-paced, noisy setting with high shelves and limited storage are necessary. Effective conflict management and dynamic priority adjustments are expected.

Pay Details
The position offers a wage range of $26.50 to $29.50 per hour. Actual pay is influenced by factors including location and experience. Bonus programs are discretionary and may be modified or ended without prior notice.
