About The Role

The Assistant Manager position at Golfview Hotel offers a base salary of $80,000 plus superannuation, a bonus scheme, and group-wide discounts. Situated in Guildford adjacent to Woodville Golf Course, the hotel serves as a beloved community hub in Western Sydney. It features a bustling Family Bistro, a popular Sports Bar with a large 155-inch screen and eight tap beers, full TAB and Keno services, and vibrant weekly entertainment. The venue prides itself on delivering warm, genuine, and exceptional service to all guests.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with regular patrons, becoming a well-known and trusted member of the local community.
• Assist the Publican in ensuring seamless, safe, and enjoyable operations of the establishment.
• Gain valuable experience in Publican responsibilities while leading a dedicated hospitality team.
• Address and resolve operational issues promptly to prevent escalation.
• Consistently contribute positive energy, excellent service, and friendly interactions during every shift.

Physical Requirements

• The role is hands-on and demands manual labor, including lifting and moving stock, kegs, and deliveries; candidates must be capable of performing such tasks safely and effectively.

Candidate Profile

• Experience working in bars, bistros, or gaming areas, including some supervisory duties.
• Learned from strong managerial figures and ready to advance into leadership.
• Possess confidence, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal skills to represent the venue during the Publican’s absence.
• Hold current mandatory certifications: RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol), RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling), and ARCG as required by state laws.
