Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager for the Glengala Hotel to maintain a vibrant and welcoming environment for our community. Join us to support daily operations and contribute to the hotel's success.
Key Duties
- Build strong relationships with regular patrons, becoming a familiar and trusted figure at the venue.
- Assist the Publican in ensuring the hotel operates efficiently, safely, and maintains an excellent atmosphere.
- Lead and motivate a skilled hospitality team while gaining experience in Publican responsibilities.
- Identify and resolve issues promptly to prevent operational disruptions.
- Deliver excellent service and positive energy during every shift.
Physical and Licensing Requirements
- The position requires physical handling tasks such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries; applicants must be capable of safely performing these duties.
- Possession of current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG), and Gaming License is mandatory as per state regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Experience working in bars, bistros, or gaming rooms, preferably with some supervisory exposure.
- Exposure to effective management styles and readiness to take on increased responsibilities.
- Strong confidence, pride in work, and excellent interpersonal skills to represent the venue in the manager's absence.
