Position Summary
We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager – Front Office (Russian Speaker) to oversee and support the smooth functioning of the Front Office department. The appointed individual will play a key role in leading the team, delivering superior guest services, upholding Hyatt's distinguished standards, and fostering a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management of Front Office operations to guarantee efficient and seamless service delivery to guests.
- Ensure all Front Office staff maintain Hyatt's brand expectations and provide excellent guest interactions.
- Address guest complaints, queries, and recovery situations with professionalism and urgency.
- Support the welcoming, check-in process, and arrangement coordination for VIPs, long-term guests, and special requests.
- Track guest arrivals, departures, room assignments, inventory status, and handle overbooking issues timely.
- Oversee preparation and pre-blocking of VIP, special request, and extended stay rooms well in advance.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and Front Office areas to maintain top-quality standards.
- Ensure stringent control over room keys, accurate guest records, and data management.
- Contribute to boosting room revenue via upselling, yield management, and careful inventory handling.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring departmental expenses.
- Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Engineering, and other units to ensure coordinated operations.
- Lead departmental briefings and promote effective team communications.
- Coach, mentor, train, and develop Front Office team members to enhance their performance and engagement levels.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and managing performance within the Front Office team.
- Ensure adherence to Hyatt’s policies, brand protocols, safety standards, and local legal requirements.
- Respond proactively to guest satisfaction surveys, audits, and operational feedback to implement continuous improvements.
- Act as the Manager on Duty, representing the Front Office department when the Front Office Manager is unavailable.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Have no less than three years of experience working in Front Office roles within hotel environments, including at least one year in a supervisory or assistant managerial capacity.
- Must be fluent in both Russian and English.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Front Office functions, guest relations, room inventory management, and hotel operational procedures.
- Experience with Opera Property Management System or equivalent software is preferred.
- Show strong leadership, coaching abilities, and team development skills.
- Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a customer-service mindset.
- Possess solid problem-solving and conflict management capabilities.
- Understand revenue management concepts, upselling strategies, and financial oversight measures.
- Have excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Capable of thriving in a dynamic, multicultural workspace.
- Knowledgeable about hotel safety, security protocols, and quality assurance criteria.
- Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Previous exposure to an international hotel brand is advantageous.
